About Donna

For four decades, Donna has been an entrepreneur, having owned and managed a pet store, a B&B, a general store, a guest house and a farm. In 1999, she began working as an energy healer, which led to her work as a life coach, having achieved certification through the American University of NLP  http://www.aunlp.org

Throughout, her life has revolved around her children and theirs. In 2007, she undertook what turned into a 68-day fast over the issue of uranium extraction in nearby Robertsville. The effort resulted in a meeting with Ontario's Premier and highlighted her belief that we need to preserve this abundant planet for the generations to come, and that the world changes when we do. The Fall of 2010 found her walking the Camino; a 750 km trek from Pamplona to Santiago de Compostela, bringing her to an increased awareness of her place on the planet. Upcoming adventures include a plan to hike the Bruce Trail, end-to-end, with her youngest daughter. As well, to convert a Van to go on the road, to camp and to live the life of a nomad.

Donna and her ex-partner, Cam Allen, renovated the United Church and Sunday School in Watson's Corners, using sustainable practices. They then built on an 850 sq. ft addition, which now houses the Spa Suite/Apartment Circa 1894 B&B and Day Spa. Donna thrives on connection and is thrilled to be offering her clients the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate in the beauty that is the Lanark Highlands.
